Rec Softball
New Canaan Softball offers spring rec softball as a fun activity for players. For Kindergarten we offer a clinic style setup where girls will learn softball skills in a fun group setting. For 2nd grade and below we offer Coach Pitch leagues where girls can learn in game softball skills in a fun environment. And then for our older girls we offer Kid pitch leagues where the girls themselves get to pitch!
Evaluations
There will be mandatory evaluations for girls 2nd grade and up on March 8th, 2026 at Bobby Valentine Sports Academy (4 Largo Drive, Stamford CT). The evaluations are used to be able to make balanced teams for a fun enjoyable season for all girls!
Registration Fee
Kindergarten: $95
1st and 2nd Grade: $250
3rd Grade and Up: $400
** Travel players do not need to register for spring**

Rookies - Kindergarten
Clinic Style Practices - Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM
Coach Pitch (1st and 2nd Grade)
Practices:
Thursday or Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (dependent on field/coach availability)
Games:
Saturdays between 11 AM and 3:00 PM
Kid Pitch (3rd grade and up)
Practices:
Monday or Thursday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (dependent on field/coach availability)
Games:
Tuesday at 5:30 PM or Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (Can vary by division and field availability)
Saturdays between 11 AM and 3:00 PM. Some games can we against surrounding towns.
