Emerging Pitchers
Emerging Pitchers is a league funded program that aims at providing dedicated lessons for pitching for our younger NC Rams! The goal is to create a fun, positive atmosphere that leverages professional coaches to start giving our younger players instructions on the art of softball pitching!
There will be two groups, each capped at a total of 6 players per group for a total of 12. Clinics will run for the entirety of the softball season
Fall - September 6th - October 26th
Where and When
Starting 09/07, every Sunday until October 26th.
Location: Men's Orchard Field
There will be two separate groups, 6 girls per group:
Group A - 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Group B - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Equipment Needed
Only a glove and a facemask for the pitcher. Each pitcher needs their own dedicated adult catcher, girls without a catcher will not be able to participate.
Costs
This is a free clinic covered by New Canaan Softball, but it is capped at 6 girls per session.
Coaches
This program will be run by Jen Houle, the pitching coach for Fairfield University.
Eligibility Requirements
- Players must be in Grades 2 or 3
- Players enrolled in travel softball programs are not eligible
- Players MUST bring a parent for the entirety of the session to be a catcher for the clinic.
- The clinic is not a drop off clinic
- Player must be enrolled in the current season.
