Travel

The NC Rams Travel teams are for players and families looking for a competitive travel softball experience within our New Canaan Town Travel Program. Our practices and instruction sessions are hosted at local fields and facilities, and we will play games and tournaments throughout the year. Beginning in early September and anticipated running through the end of July, Town Travel offers a year-round team environment while allowing flexibility to allow participation in other sports/activities. We coordinate closely with our families to schedule our practices, games, and tournaments, throughout the Fall, Spring, and Summer.

All grade levels are for school year 2026 - 2027

• Grades 4th- 8th grade (Born between 09/01/2013 - 12/31/2017)
• Live in New Canaan or have a parent employed for New Canaan Schools

Final team structure will be determined after tryouts have been completed.

We encourage players to be multi-sport athletes, however players registering for Travel are expected to prioritize Travel Softball when there are conflicts during Spring and Summer seasons

• Runs from August to the end of October
• Games scheduled mostly on Sundays
• Tournament opportunities

• Runs from January until March
• Indoor hitting instruction with a professional coach in small group settings
• Indoor practice for general skill enhancement

• Runs from March until the end of July
• Doubleheader games on Sunday
• Tournament opportunities.

• All players (new and returning) are required to tryout to be considered for the program
• If your daughter cannot make tryouts, please still register and then reach out to be added to the makeup date.
• Tryouts are free
• Please note that not all girls are guaranteed to make a travel team. It is commiserate on skill level displayed during tryouts.

• Registration is currently open!

• Costs vary by team level, but expect costs for the season to be between $1,700 and $2,200 per year

• Fees for winter-focused instruction
• Tournament fees
• Please note that uniform fees are not included in the yearly team fee. We try to carry over uniform designs whenever possible, year over year, so returning players have to buy a new one only when it doesn't fit.
